As many of you know, I am headed off to Europe today. I will be walking 100 miles as a part of a study abroad program in France, and will be solo traveling a week before and after the study abroad in Amsterdam and Spain. This 100 miles is one of 12 weeks of the Pluscarden 1230, a recreation of a medieval pilgrimage. I will be earning 4 credits for my honors program and for a history class, and I needed these extra credits to graduate this coming December from Augsburg College.
I will land in Amsterdam tomorrow at 7am (midnight in Minnesota time). The first week I will be in Amsterdam and France, the second week I will be walking the 100 miles, and the last week I will be traveling in Spain. I will be returning home June 26th. This is my first international trip solo, and I am both nervous and excited for it. It is only 20 days, very contrasting to my 95 day trip to South America last summer, and will be a very new experience for me.
I will be updating my blog every day or every other day, but will not be able to post during the week of my study abroad as there will probably be no wifi and I cannot use my phone. I also have my itinerary on this website underneath the "Overview" tab under France, Spain, & Netherlands 2017. I will post photos on Facebook and under the photos tab on this website. If you want to contact me, I will be using Facebook messenger as my main mode of communication.
